Stanford has jumped off to a 10 point lead in Q1. (23-14 at the end of Q1)
Now an 18 point lead as Q2 winds down.

Clemson's best player Mia Moore is injured and not playing today. She is good for an average 13 points and made 21 against Cal on Thursday night.

Wow, what a game so far. I know Clemson missing a key player but the best version of Stanford WBB we've seen all year. Confidence, energy defensively, shot making. It's been impressive. If we can carry some version of this into ACC tourney, we could win 2-3 games.

Fun to watch!
Great defense and 11 assists with three minutes left to go in second quarter, and only one TO

Really, really, really good to see Swain starting to hit some shots again - and this game and the last have been fantastic to watch. It's curious to see that it's happening with Shay at the point instead of Chloe - but overall - the offense has been spectacular and these sort of statement games help come tourney time especially against another bubble team.

Last two games seem like the best we’ve played all year. Ogden is playing like we hoped when she came in. Nunu moving better and Shay is a pest, disrupting Clemson’s offense again and again.
Fun to see.

In yesterday’s game against SMU, the men scored 61 points in the second half. In today’s game, the women scored 51 points in the first half. Those may be the best back to back halves in Maples in a long, long time…

This has been the best half of the entire season that I can remember seeing. I knew this is the team we are capable of being and think the change in lineup has made a difference.

Same thought on the PG. Shay has been in the lineup the last 3 games and we're on pace to go 3-0. Less offense from her compared to Chloe but it seems like the right people are taking shots instead and defensively energy better.

Did a double-take when I saw the score. We are shooting 70% from the field.
Other than Clardy, every player has made more than half her shots.
The only negative and this is a minor bit, is come on, we have to better than 67% from the free throw line.

19 ast and only 2 t/o through three quarters!
Did Lepolo participate in the pregame senior day event?

Wow. Just wow. Today’s WBB is on The (Execrable) CW. But I’ll do my best to get it posted on my Youtube channel. (PM me for details.) pretty sure I got the men’s game.
Gostanford has only linked the audio feed. Apparently they, too, can’t work with this so-called network either.

saw a picture of her with the other seniors, Kate and Tara - from the waist up, so couldn't see if perhaps her knee was re-injured

Were we going to put in some subs at some point?

Fans have been calling for seniors to go in for awhile, chanting “seniors” Can’t understand why she waited so long

Minor thing, but yeah. The regulars were pretty low energy by the end. Also it wasn't so nice to send in the seniors and bench with only 7 seconds on the shot clock.
Aside from that, great win, with the team really clicking on both ends!

As of this morning before the game, Charlie Créme's bracketology had Clemson in the last 4 byes (i.e, skipping the "first four" extra round) and Stanford in the second 4 out.
I would think this blowout win would change that some, but we'll definitely need more wins in the ACC tournament to make the NCAAs.

amidst a sea of positive, i offer one caution: we were lights out against player-to-player, but we still don't have much offense against a zone defense. fortunately, Clemson and smu only used zone a little.
and yes, please put in the subs with 5 minutes left,up by 35, not with 90 seconds left! carly had a nice block, nora a nice inside move.

Interesting that MAS has fallen to the end of the bench and was put in for garbage time (3 min). We won by 35, I think we could have afforded to give Agara (35 min) and Swain (36 min) the whole fourth quarter off. I can only think that being on the wrong side of the bubble, Paye wanted to make a statement with the game with a dominant performance over another bubble team. I don’t know how much winning by 35 as opposed to, say, winning by “only” 20 would hurt the narrative. But had one of our starters gotten injured during the fourth quarter, it would have far eclipsed any benefit from the blowout.

Update: both MBB and WBB this weekend were on The CW. Which is no longer offering replays. I think I got the MBB game from espn. WBB? Will keep looking.
I suggest a letter-writing campaign to the ACC protesting their continued support of The CW. Before I launch this, if anyone has a link to a replay of these games I’d appreciate it.
