Perhaps I am jumping the gun, Bob. I had figured that Reagan to Bloomgren was all but a done deal; I do not believe he has officially been admitted there, so maybe I am counting chickens...

If you could list someone as EDGE on a college roster, that's what he'd be. 6'4" 240 is already pretty damn close to ideal edge-rusher size at the next level. I'm hoping Tobe Umerah can develop into something similar.

The amazing thing about this chart is to see how few players we have in their 4th year of eligiblity. Toohill, Beecher, Scarlett and McNitzky. That is absolutely crazy. Is that unprecedented? Parkinson, Little, Costello are all prospects to go pro early and a bunch of 4th year juniors may not return for a 5th year, but you can kind of see why Shaw has some unallocated scholarships going into the next recruiting class.

2016's 5th-year seniors were guys from the insane recruiting class of 2012, and there were 10: Davis, Rector, Hoffpauir (technically), Lloyd, Jones, Ukropina, Caspers, Watkins, Harrell, Kaumatule. Aziz Shittu should've made 11, and I'm still mad his waiver was denied.

Eboh had slightly better stats. Given the quote you reference, I agree with you that Eboh looks to be penciled in. I'll make the switch. Williamson will likely be the nickel back and will see lots of PT.

Maybe the future of the position will be Ricky Miezan and JMF, but I'll wager Robinson will be starting game one in 2019. The question is who will start with him at ILB. Will one of the sophs? Maybe so. For now, not enough evidence. I'll keep it Beecher for now since he has the most seniority.
