Also now being reported that Petersen is staying at UW in an advisory capacity. So maybe he really is just burned out and needs a break.

Petersen will step down following UW’s impending bowl game, the program announced on Monday. Second-year Husky defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake has been named the program’s new head coach. Petersen will transition into an advisory role for UW Athletics.

7 decommits and multiple players in the transfer portal from Ole Miss since they fired their HC Matt Luke yesterday. The chaos isn't just the coaching!

All that is the ripple effect of a simulated micturation on an imaginary fire hydrant.

Or maybe it was finding out that the co-Ed’s were imaginary too.

There was a season-ending team meeting on Sunday night, and it was reported that at least ten players stormed out in anger.  We later found out that the coach had been fired, so perhaps that's why.

Some names tossed around for the Ole Miss job.

No Leach mentioned, but TC's favorite (Mike Norvell from Memphis) is.

Norvell probably lives somewhere between the two schools, anyway.

I always imagined a Leach coached SEC doormat going 3-5 or 4-4 each season and all the wins coming against the best teams in the conference. People would lose their minds.

Ole Miss players were pissed that Matt Luke was fired. Looking from the outside, I do think they should have given Luke one more year. He is an alum of the school, he was dealing with NCAA sanctions, and 88% of his team’s offensive production was from Freshmen in 2019.

IOW, players on the team could see they were building something, must have liked their coach, and the decision to fire him has turned them off the school in a big way.
