Rhode Island Red, Scat the Cat and Carl the Carrot made kids laugh and adults quietly chuckle at the ribald subtleties the kids didn't "get".  Closest thing on the air to the old Soupy Sales show (originating in NYC). Right there with You Bet Your Life (Groucho Marx).

I agree with everyone that attendance will not be great - maybe 50% of capacity - but for the record, it's not hard to sell your tickets if needed.  We are going out of town this weekend and can't attend.  I listed my three Section 116 tickets (15 yard-line, shady side) for $60/each on Stubhub (plus fees), and they were gone within 15 mins.  

I feel kind of badly about this next part, but after failing to monetize fully my own tickets, I then felt compelled to list the two free tell-a-friend tickets that Stanford gave all season ticket members.  Mine were in Section 120, in the corner.  Those two sold within a couple hours at $45/each. This was all on Tuesday night.  When I looked tonight, prices were even higher, although I suspect they might drop by tomorrow or Sat. 

I suffered through our home losses vs. UCLA, UW, and Utah. I'm not in the camp that claim they had a bad time. I enjoy the games, win or lose, but obviously more when we win. In fact, I even made my 13 year-old son and 78 year-old dad sit through the Utah game until the bitter end!  And I'm not even an alumnus, I'm exactly the type of lifelong Bay Area fan that they're dying to have. If, just hypothetically, Stanford were unhappy with me for offloading the free tix for money, they could go pound sand.  The email did not say we shouldn't.  Sorry, not sorry.  

On another note, I don't really understand why prices are relatively sticky when available inventory is so plentiful.  Maybe Stanford holds back some inventory to optimize pricing, utilizing the Stubhub platform?

I agree with everyone that attendance will not be great - maybe 50% of capacity - but for the record, it's not hard to sell your tickets if needed.  We are going out of town this weekend and can't attend.  I listed my three Section 116 tickets (15 yard-line, shady side) for $60/each on Stubhub (plus fees), and they were gone within 15 mins.  

I feel kind of badly about this next part, but after failing to monetize fully my own tickets, I then felt compelled to list the two free tell-a-friend tickets that Stanford gave all season ticket members.  Mine were in Section 120, in the corner.  Those two sold within a couple hours at $45/each. This was all on Tuesday night.  When I looked tonight, prices were even higher, although I suspect they might drop by tomorrow or Sat.
