Friends:
Some long overdue adjustments to the grid.
* Given our switch to a 4-3 base defense, I have changed the positions up front from DT/DE/OLB to DL/Edge. (I did not capitalize all letters in EDGE as I continue to not understand why that is done, and think it is weird.) Predictably, all players who were previously listed as either DT or DE are now listed as DL, except for two: sophomore Aaron Armitage and sophomore walk-on Aristotle Taylor, who were DE in the old scheme and are now listed at Edge. All OLB in the old scheme are now listed at Edge.
* Thunder Justice Keck, who is one of those former OLB now listed at Edge, had been in the transfer portal, but removed his name and elected to return to Stanford for his sixth year, so I added him back to the grid.
* Two players return from their LDS mission, and have been added to the grid: sophomore walk-on WR Kale Lucas, and sophomore walk-on OG Matthew Moore.
* Two players have hung it up: senior wide receiver Marcus Graham and senior walk-on punter Alexander Thorpe. Graham's retirement, while understandable given his lack of PT, is a bit mysterious given that he is on scholarship, unless he graduated early. Nevertheless, it does help our scholarship count issue, which is still unresolved; even with Graham's retirement, Keck's return to the team still leaves us at two over the limit given the incoming frosh scholarships.
* There have been several position switches. Sophomore walk-on Will Gibson switched from OG to C, junior walk-on Logan Berzins switched from OG to C/OG (which means he is now listed with the centers), sophomore Jimmy Wyrick switched from CB to S (which makes some sense given that he was the nickleback last year), sophomore Austin Uke switched from OT to OG, and sophomore walk-on Danny McFadden switched from WR to RB.
* I also updated the transfer destinations for those players in the transfer portal who found a new football home. It can be found on the details entry just below the grid on the first page of this thread.
As always, I welcome any corrections.
