Could we add Chloe Clardy to the possible 2023 recruit list? Stanford Women’s basketball Twitter just started following her and she has a 3.89 GPA. Clardy is a 5’9” combo guard from Arkansas who is rated #28 in HoopGurlz.

Thanks for posting. Although she had an offer from us, she never visited campus I don't believe and I never got the sense we were a real contender or finalist. Her ESPN ranking has gone down significantly the past couple of years (she was ranked in the 20's and is now ranked #77.) Good pickup for Washington. Nice to see there are rebuilding and their new coach seems to have their program moving in the right direction. On to the next recruit!

I feel like I have psychic powers at this point. So I’m just going to put it out there and say Hidalgo. Watkins would be great but I just don’t feel she’s going to choose us.

hmmm...that's 3 commits. 2 top recruits still considering us: juju watkins and hannah hidalgo. let's see, how many do we have room for. 4 seniors graduating. if we do not fill our one open scholarship slot this year, would that make room for both if they want us?

Great news. 2023 is shaping up to be a great class. We have commitments from the PF, wing, and point guard positions. All three ranked in the TOP 40. We need one more TOP recruit. Will it be Watkins or Hidalgo? Do we have room for more and are we accounting for the fact Belibi, Jump, Prechtel, or Jones could return for an additional COVID year? Unlikely with Jones, but wouldn't surprise me if one of the others wanted to play an extra year.
I also couldn't help but smile at the end of her announcement video when our current Stanford team cheers and runs over to celebrate after hearing her make her announcement. What a special sisterhood and team we have.

Ah, yes, I blanked on that. Grew to 6'2" I am told. So the class is more balanced that it would first appear.
