Louisville could sweep Stanford, if Stanford is playing like the inexperienced, discombobulated team it sometimes appears to be. OTOH, if the Cardinal is focused and playing its best (as we have also seen at times this year), they can prevail. I expect it to go four sets at least.
It would help if Stanford got more offense on the right side. At Texas, Harvey at 10 kills and 3 errors (in five sets); versus Florida, 11 kills and 2 errors (four sets). Last night she had only 2 kills and 3 errors (partly due to Notre Dame's strong blocking, as previously mentioned).

Blyashov seems to be improving as the season goes on. I would take the shot and start her today. Harvey though right now is the bigger concern for me. ND was not good for her as noted above.

The thing with Rubin is she does everything else well even on a bad or keyed on hitting day. Led the team in digs, receives a big chunk of serves. Led the team in serving.

In fairness to Harvey, it’s also Parks’ setting, she gave Harvey some tight low trap sets. Fully supportive of Parks in the 5-1 but her setting is still a work in progress. The players that are better at adjusting to not perfect sets (Rubin and Sayer are both really good at it) are doing better unsurprisingly.

Well, something got fixed in a hurry because Harvey was unreal the first set. Five kills in six attempts with no errors (.833 hitting percentage).

It's been Kurt so far. She's had the second most swings (9) behind Rubin in the first set, though only hitting .111 (2 kills, 1 error).

Blocking has been much better so far. Interesting going with Kurt so far...maybe just because of her big game experience. Pretty solid crowd at Maples.

Yeah, barring a big turnaround this set, we are probably looking at overcoming a 2-1 deficit, which we aren't going to do if we keep playing as we have in the last couple sets. Louisville is up 17-10 in the third; we are hitting .111 in the set.
