Write to the AD immediately.  Maybe tell them you'll donate money for every piece of hate mail they get?

Maybe "noble" would have been a better adjective than "sad."

If the rumors turn out to be true, I stand corrected and humbly congratulate washingtonismoney on his prescience

I found the original story a bit questionable, as I really couldn't picture someone jumping from a 2nd story balcony onto concrete to save a kid floundering in the pool below. Wouldn't most people shout to folks who might be downstairs already at this family party, while running for the stairs? It's hard to imagine thinking that jumping would get you there enough faster to really make any difference, especially given the risk of hurting yourself in the jump.

Also, breaking an ankle, and nothing else is unlikely. It didn't sound right to me, but I didn't question it.

Why can't this be in LSJUMB?  Here we have a CFB player that is trying to learn the skills necessary to be a stunt double.  That seems like an acceptable reference since Hollywood does hire stunt doubles.  LSJUMB could have a helpful public service announcement type role to all of the kids in the stands.  Just because you see characters in the movies jumping out of windows does not mean it is safe or advisable.  How could providing a helpful PSA be objectionable?

He's revising his story.  It wasn't his nephew in the pool, it was Lennay Kekua.

Be my guest.  I hope GameDay comes to the Farm on September 6.

EDIT: just checked the schedule.  Looks like GameDay will be there.  Safe bet that my former intramural basketball teammate will do color for the game.  Biggest matchup on the ABC schedule.
