Well, we probably want to have four QB's on the roster at any time.  We're ok this year, assuming Crower doesn't leave (Hogan, Crower, Burns, Chryst), but of course both Hogan and Crower will be gone after this year.  So next year we will be down to to Burns, Chryst, and a true freshman, (Costello or whoever else).  In theory, we have Dallas Lloyd, who could move back from safety to QB if we got hit with the injury bug.  But caution might have dictated taking another QB this year, even if the plan is for him to be a backup.

As for only having one QB offer out, remember that recruiting QB's is different from recruiting almost any other position.  QB's decide early (the summer between their junior and senior years, typically), and there is usually a domino effect as QB's commit.  If for some reason Costello doesn't come, we'll go down our list.
