Lyons leaving would be a big loss. He would start this year in at least nickel if not base coverage.  We do not have much experience at CB besides Harris.  However, Lyons leaving is not an indictment of Shaw.  His mom getting a job at Michigan provides Shaw air cover.

Lyons is going to have a battle for playing time at Michigan as they have more returning experienced players in the secondary than Stanford does.  Michigan was not good last year but that was primarily due to their offense. Their defense was solid.
