I don't see that there is much disagreement.  For a SoCal kid like Costello, even 22 degrees and snowing will feel awful.  Add in your wind chill, and yech.

In the meantime, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom out here.  Hang in there, I hear May is supposed to be real nice in Michigan.
