The Cardinal annually make the state a top target. While Andrew Luck is the Cardinal player from Texas that is most talked about, receiver Ty Montgomery just finished up a standout career in Palo Alto. In the 2014 class, ESPN 300 defensive end Solomon Thomas and safety Brandon Simmons inked with the Cardinal, and 2016 could be more of the same with No. 33 Devin Duvernay, No. 50 Kaden Smith and No. 294 Mike Williams having serious interest. Stanford has made offers to as many as seven others. Both Smith and Williams are scheduled to visit Stanford April 2 and many think they are leaning toward the Cardinal.
