Still hoping all will work out with Costello, but the whole situation has raised some questions in my mind.
Does anyone know if Shaw's QB recruiting strategy (focus on one guy, emphasize that he is your top choice) is followed by any other coaches around the nation? Obviously, SC recruits multiple QBs.
I'm wondering about the wisdom of this approach. If you land your #1 guy, well, great. But if you don't, then you have lost some valuable time building relationships with other QBs (and, if you are still building them, even as you are focusing on #1, what message are you sending? Well, we like you almost as much as this other guy. Just hang on and wait a while).
