Don't forget: Now more then ever, recruits and parents are aware that the NCAA and most schools do not have the recruits best interest in mind. There are a lot of shysters out there, but in this day and age parents can be informed about who has offered who and what that means. Traditional factors like location, "the alma mater," and pagentry/tradition are less important than ever. The sense of trust that Stanford has and Coach Shaw inspires can't be overstated in the process.
