I doubt two high-caliber big backs would want to be in the same recruiting class anyway.  With Bisharat committed, a guy like Quansah is not likely to jump on board as well. 

I'm not sure I agree. We've had multiple 4* backs (granted, not the "big backs" that you specify) in the same recruiting class in the past: Remound Wright and Kelsey Young; Stepfan Taylor and Tyler Gaffney.  I think smart recruits understand the unpredictability of recruiting as well as we do, or better: the failure of some highly ranked recruits to develop as expected, the possibility of injuries shaping, or shortening, a career, etc.  It just seems to me that these factors, combined with the opportunity for a Stanford education, would lead a high-quality young student-athlete take on the challenge of entering in the same class as another player of the same position, if they really wanted the Stanford experience. This is particularly true when you consider that most of the players of this quality thrive on competition.


Now Shaw and the coaches may look at how their class is shaping up and feel that they only have room for one big running back, or they may not value a particular player as highly as the recruiting services.  But that's a different issue.
