Hehe, yeah, when you put it that way I can see it sounds funny. What I meant to convey is that I would expect Stanford recruits would be by definition smart, motivated, and desiring academic challenge. With that as a basis, hearing that an offered Stanford recruit is taking all AP classes doesn't increase my expectation they would commit to Stanford. You don't go from not academically focused to suddenly taking only AP classes, so I assume he's been academically inclined all along. But if you told me a commit who had never taken an AP class was suddenly signed up for 2 their senior year, I would think they're a Stanford lean and this news would give me more hope of a future verbal.
Regardless good for Carmouche. Sounds like he's got what it takes to be a Stanford man.Â
