I agree, one game doesn't make much of a difference, but it might help solidify feelings if our first two games created any nagging doubts about Stanford's staying powers, and, likewise, hopefully injected some nagging doubts about the SC brain trust in their recruits.  We need to continue the momentum and keep winning, and the recruiting will take care of itself, and USC needs to keep shooting itself in the foot.

USC had an opportunity to make a big impression on local recruits on Saturday night, but instead it was Stanford who earned this year's bragging rights in the head-to-head matchup. A number of prospects made the trip to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, but few likely enjoyed the view more than ESPN 300 quarterback K.J. Costello and ESPN 300 athlete David Long -- both Stanford commitments.
