When Brown planned this official visit to Stanford, he had to know that Duke (like any other school) would not want its commits to visit other schools.  Brown may have decided that the visit is too risky either because he needs to improve his admissions profile and/or because Shaw is comfortable with the rest of the board at RB for now.  We'll see if things change, but, for now, Brown clearly looks less likely to be a part of Stanford's class. 

More speculation, but it's possible that this reflects an arrow up for Speights and/or an arrow up for the admissions profile(s) of Stanford's current RB commits.
