McCulloch's visit report from UDFG was glowing, too, so I don't know how much weight to put on the things he says in an interview.  Plus, it's better not to reveal too much from behind the paywall anyway. 

What we do know is that McCulloch is admissible.  Top 1% of his class by GPA and senior class president.  If he were just waiting to be admitted, it would be over long before January 2.  He's got officials to TAMU, Michigan, and possibly Florida coming up.  I still think Texas, Michigan and UDFG are threats, regardless of admissions.  But I do think Stanford has a legitimate shot.  If Shaw can land him, that's a h.uge recruiting victory against all of the top schools in the country, not to mention a really nice addition to the future linebacking corps.
