For a while now I have thought that Burton was in the the "If he's admitted he Commits to Stanford" category.

Here's an interesting tea leaf that may corroborate your intuition:

Last week, right before SAT scores came out, he gave an interview in which he said that his last official was going to be UCLA, Az, or kal.  After SAT scores came out, he replaced kal with Stanford.  Here's the older interview:

I will say that Stanford is never the focus of his interviews, so it's hardly fair to call Stanford a lock, even pending admissions, but it is definitely possible that he's just playing it close to the vest until he has more info on admissions.
