The question is whether you value false positives or false negatives. Certainly we can all concede there are a bunch of denied players who, in all probability, would've been just fine a Stanford. Then again, we can't say there are too many guys who shouldn't've gotten in. My suspicion is that admissions is more concerned about false negatives than positives, and therefore thinks it's doing a good job.
