As someone who only knows the Texas program as an outsider - and from national media reports - I find your consistent and unshakable belief in Charlie Strong both a little surprising and endearing.
From outside it seems he took over a program that had 15 8+ win seasons in 16 years and led them to consecutive years of 6-7 and 5-7. 247-composite ranks their 2016 class at #32, #4 in the state (with Eboh still in their column). They've gone to the drastic (panicked?) step of canning the offensive staff and bringing in a new system. They've got players using twitter at halftime of games talking about transfering and their once star recruit OL actually transferring after three years just before he's expected to start.
I would assume that most of the Texas fan base is not so sanguine as you.
Strong seems like a better guy than most football coaches, so I hope he makes it - which I guess means I hope you're basically right.
