There was indeed a late surge by the LA schools. Both UCLA and SC closed very well, grabbing lots of top uncommitted guys. The class rankings now look like this (overall ranking of all Pac-12 schools in each service's ranking):
Rivals: #8 SC, #11 UCLA, #18 Stanford, #27 C.al, #28 Oregon, #34 ASU, #35 Utah, #38 Washington, #41 Oregon State, #51 Arizona, #52 Wazzu, #64 Colorado
Scout: #7 UCLA, #11 SC, #15 Stanford, #24 Oregon, #29 Washington, #36 ASU, #39 C.al, #41 Utah, #44 Arizona, #50 Wazzu, #55 Oregon State, #67 Colorado
ESPN: #11 SC, #13 Stanford, #15 UCLA, #25 ASU, #29 Washington, #32 Oregon, #38 Utah, #40 C.al, #45 Oregon State, #47 Arizona, #56 Wazzu, NR Colorado (not in Top 75, which is all ESPN shows)
247: #8 SC, #12 UCLA, #16 Stanford, #27 Oregon, #28 ASU, #29 Washington, #36 Utah, #38 C.al, #43 Arizona, #46 Oregon State, #55 Wazzu, #69 Colorado.Â
So, we ended up with a basically Top 15 class (average of 15.5), but also generally 3rd in the conference. Averaging these four rankings gives us these composite Pac-12 class rankings:
1. SC (9.5)
2. UCLA (11.25)
3. Stanford (15.5)
4. Oregon (27.75)
5. Arizona State (30.75)
6. Washington (31.25)
7. C.al (36)
8. Utah (37.5)
9. Arizona (46.25)
10. Oregon State (46.75)
11. Wazzu (53.25)
12. Colorado (69) (assumes a 76 ranking from ESPN, since only the Top 75 were ranked)
