We saw him fly in via helicopter on Wednesday evening and he's been stopping around the Bay Area since then with a landing on Chrissy Field as well.    Those Osprey helicopters look and sound impressive close up!  Too bad the students weren't around this time.

To be exact, on Wednesday (correction: Thursday) Obama flew into Moffett field on Air Force One, then went by helicopter (Marine One) up to Crissy Field, then by ground to his hotel/restaurant. The Osprey tilt rotor aircraft (they are not true helicopters) are indeed impressive, but at least as of April the POTUS did not fly on them due to safety concerns (unlike helicopters, if the engines stop they can't make a soft landing).
