As of this morning, the Giants have more wins than the Cubs. Just sayin'
I was at the Giants' game yesterday, a walk-off win by .200 hitting Conor Gillaspie. The Phillies' pitcher hit three Giants batters in the first three innings. Umpire says nothing. Cueto hits one of their batters in the fourth inning, with two out, no one on. Umpire warns both benches, then squeezes Cueto's strike zone. Cueto comes unglued, gives up four runs. Giants claw back.
I actually think the Giants can get better. After rocky start, Peavy has come around, same with most of the relievers. Cueto, Samardzija performing better than expected. Bumgarner, awesome as usual. Belt has been a revelation this year, his talent has finally caught up to his body. Pagan and Posey are rounding into form. Tomlinson was doing great until he got hurt. Crawford is Mr. Clutch in field and at bat, leading team in RBIs. Duffy, Panik, Span doing not so well -- I'm thinking they come around.
Bring on the Orioles. Why not? We've already spanked the Rangers, Tigers and Royals. Might as well plow through the rest of the AL... :PÂ
