True story: When I was a freshman, it was known as University of Santa Clara. I still have old tee shirts with U.S.C. on them. Given the fact that their colors and initials were almost identical, they changed the actual name of the University.
Any of those acronyms for you ess see are fine by me. I can't stand the place. My youngest was a junior and he and I were on the 110. He had played in a volleyball tournament and he'd toured UCLA, UCI, UC San Diego. He'd been on the UCSB campus many times for the Dos Pueblos volleyball tournament. I convinced him to check out the U.S.C. campus. We were out of the car for five minutes and he said, "Can we go? I really don't want to go here." I said, "Are you sure? We've only seen a few buildings." He quoted my older son who said, "I'd rather go to a junior college than go here."
I'm so proud...
