He was on the NCAA basketball committee for years.Is anyone surprised that he won't rag on the TV deal? When he visits the tailgate I attend I plan to ask him if he thinks it's safe for a senior citizen to drive 2.5 hours home from a game that begins at 7pm or later.

Depends on the senior citizen.  But FWIW after DST ends even a Big Game with a mid-afternoon start time will end after dark, forget extra time for that 2.5 hour drive.  Best for those with night driving issues to come with friends, take Uber, take Lyft, use public transportation and/or buy a self driving vehicle.

I would put my money on the self driving vehicle coming to market before the Pac-12 returns to a schedule with the majority of start times at 1 or 2PM.
