I always viewed that as inappropriate and juvenile, even when I was a juvenile.  And, freezing the fruit proves intent to injure.  I was not aware that Stanford students did any of the fruit throwing, other than the lacrosse team fielding the missiles and flinging them off the field.

Yes agreed, fans should not throw fruit onto the field.

But going back to the original thread, um, does this mean no more discussion about ending the text substitutions of cal, notre dame, usc, etc.?
