I do think Shaw tends to take the long-view versus short term reaction, which I think is what the original post was getting at.    As I have posted before, I also think he is a chess player who sets up things used late in the season over many games.

Yeah, I recall Shaw saying once that we lose a game or two and everyone acts like we have just gone 0-12.
