I missed some of it but from what I saw and the stats, second half was better.  I'm not that unhappy about the game.  Seeing as we are playing a whole lot of young players against top teams with little time to gel, I am still optimistic the team will be very good eventually, key word being eventually.  Carrington had probably her best overall game all things considered, and still has plenty of room to grow.  She was the best thing about this game.  Nice that Williams got some run and while she did not score much, she looked comfortable running the offense.  She will push Sniezek for the point guard job.  Sneizek was ok, with few turnovers and she did hit the three (hot tip to Marta - do that more!!!!!!).  Overall I like the changes to the offense, or I will once we get the offense down better.  I was never a of exceedingly large proportions fan of so many ball screens given our personnel.  Smith got going in the paint in the second half and rebounded pretty well.  Dodson had her struggles with the very talented UConn front line but she looks to me like she may end up very good, very soon.  Same with Jerome - not a great day but she did enough good things that I hope Tara keeps giving her and the rest of the freshmen a lot of rope.  Fingall and Coffee hitting threes early in the season is fun to see. 

I'm not sure what will be with Johnson.  On the one hand, she is a 4 year starter, an excellent rebounder, and certainly knows what is going on out there.  One the other hand, she has been getting into foul trouble a lot and her lack of offense really hurts.  Basically I don't think we can have two players who are not scoring threats on the floor at once a lot, which means it might be hard to play Kaylee and Marta together that much.  I agree with the posts above that a less experienced but maybe more dynamic line-up might be much better for us down the road.
