This exceprt from Fitzgerald's article about Bloomgren coaching through the bowl game may indicate that if OC comes from within, it will be current TE coach Morgan Turner:

"He [Bloomgren] said tight ends coach Morgan Turner would take on a bigger role in game planning and practice preparations."

I'm guessing this means that Turner will help coach the OL while Bloomgren is attending to Rice business. It seems to me the TE coach probably is the most appropriate person to be involved in blocking schemes for the OL.

I am not ready to assume this means that Turner is the heir apparent for offensive coordinator.
