Being realistic is no fun! But you are right. Let’s compromise at 2-3. One big question- will they be throwing more this year? Generally when they have thrown more under Shaw (postLuck). that has NOT been a good thing. Their offense has been best when they run more. I think, however, this may be a very different team so I do expect to see more passing this year. And if I’m right, I hope that means more ball control passing. Which would open it up more for the backs to catch some balls.

~ 20-25 rushes
~ 3-5 receptions
He can be used in play actions and draw defenses with motion to open up things for other guys.
3 - 5 receptions/game is 39 to 70 (receptions for a 13 - 14 game season). Last year, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, our leading receiver, had 48 receptions. Two years ago, Trent Irwin had 37 to lead the 2016 team. McCaffrey had 45 when he led the team in 2015. So, let's be realistic. Love has 29 receptions in his three year career. He's not going to have 40 in one year, let alone 70. I think if we can get him 1-2 receptions per game (15 - 30 for the year) that would be great.
