Let’s not revise history. I’m sure he was and is a prince. He also was in way over his head at Stanford. I don’t care if he is Albert Schweitzer.  He was an awful head coach and helped destroy the program for about a decade.  Course I place even more blame on Ted Leland.

You left out Bob Bowlsby. You never seems to get the credit he deserves for building the football program

My list was not meant to be exhaustive, and a lot of things, including a new stadium, helped.  The bottom line is Harbaugh + Bowlsby + Shaw >>>>> Buddy/Wlat + Ted Leland + Robin Mamlet
