NCAA football rules (at least the 2017 version - I didn't find 2018)
Rule 8(2)(a)
a. The ball shall be put in play by the team that scored a six-point touchdown. If a touchdown is scored during a down in which time in the fourth period expires, the try shall not be attempted unless the point(s) would affect the outcome of the game.
I had remembered that rule (we didn't get to do a PAT in a game at WSU where we had a kickoff return for a touchdown on the last play of the game) and was surprised when it was kicked.
Have they changed the rule? Or more bad reffing?
I found a list of 2018 rule changes. This wasn't listed. I think we won 30-9 (and hence the 21 point margin as over SD State). Not that it it matters, at all.
