- It's 4th and Goal from the PSU 10 after an incompletion
- The Offense goes off the field and the "Kicking Team" comes on the field*
- Iowa then lines the Kicker up wide and has the "Holder" in shotgun
- He gets the snap, veers right, and throws to..
- A walk-on DT playing TE, who blocked at the snap, and...
- Made an awesome over the head catch for a TD
* My guess is it was the second team offense with the Kicker. Hard to know what the actual personnel was, but I doubt the regular kicking team would have bee running a regular offensive play.
Whatever the case, how brilliant is it to run the offense off the field, to get the kick block team on the field, and then run a play against it, with probably the second team offense? LOVED IT!
Trojans clawing their way back into the game, now trailing the Sun Devils 24-21 in the 3rd quarter. Jack Sears (3rd string QB) appears to have settled in after some first half jitters.
After an ASU fumble, USC is now leading 28-24 after a trick play pass into the end zone. 21 unanswered points in about 7 minutes of play. Unbelievable turn in the game.
