The way we looked against North Carolina, Wisconsin and Florida does not give me much optimism for when conference play starts.  It's no shame to lose these games, but we weren't even competitive.

Apparently we were only down two to Wisconsin with six minutes left. So you would have to say we were reasonably competitive in that one.
It does look a little bleak for the season, though. No denying that.

True.  With six and change to go, we were down only two (44-42), then the Badgers went on a 9-0 run, and we never got closer than 9 again.  I guess that's competitive, though we never once led in the game (a tie at 22 in the first half was the closest we came to getting a lead).
