Someone better in the know than me -- should Fitzmorris have been chosen for first team AA? I know we can't have every Stanford player be on the first team, but she sure looked like the best player on the court against PSU. Granted that, being remote, I could only watch televised games, but every time I watched this season, she came up with plays.

Not that I'm someone better in the know, but I think Audriana did better in the front row than Kathryn did (at least when in system), but Audriana apparently wasn't good enough to play back row rather than Kathryn.  As a result, Kathryn played twice as many points, contributed quite well on serves & digs plus back-row kills.  I'm not knowledgeable enough to judge myself, but others have said that when Stanford was out of system,  the ball was set to Kathryn, who could do well with a not so perfect set.

Stanford earned 1st team AA spots for offense, defense, and setting.  Unless we walked through the tournament 3-0 all the way, I don't think Stanford deserved more 1st team AA spots than that.  

Next year, it may be even more interesting.  Holly Campbell may also be good enough to be considered for 1st team AA.


I would guess the goal for next year will be the NC again.  But I think an undefeated season is a real possibility, as it almost was this year.  I think they've shown that not only are  they good, they can also take it up a notch when things aren't going right.
