And Ionescu -- whether great defense or legs tired from last night's Oregon overtime squeaker -- shot 10 for 26. Maybe she's not POY (thinking of Iowa's Megan Gustafson)?
OT: It's always gratifying to watch Brenda Freese hissy-fit like Kim Mulkey when the Terps fail.

oK, what I meant to write here -- Wonderful tournament experience. So amazing, so many really tough and exiting games, totally competitive all the way. And then, of course, the ending. Fantastic, so proud of the all the Card. Everyone contributed, even those who didn't see playing time on Sunday, preparing those who did. This was a real team effort.
BUT, did I have fun in Las Vegas? When going to the games, absolutely yes. When leaving town and seeing the incredible landscapes near Las Vegas -- Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire State Park, yes. But in Las Vegas otherwise, NO. What a mistake to bring the tournament here. The newspaper in town barely noticed the tournament was here. The MGM is one of the most unpleasant hotels I have ever stayed in, and that is in competition with places where they charge your extra for bedbugs. Whole first floor smells of smoke, loud pulsing music everywhere, even our room on the 7th floor smells of smoke. Service is at best iffy. Prices are seriously inflated. Arena food so limited and bad that we ate in the very mediocre food court before games. And on and on. One good thing, locals are friendly and nice, but very few we ran into even knew the tournament was happening, including people working in the MGM Grand. If the Pac-12 really cared about women's basketball, I seriously doubt they would have put the tournament here.
