I hardly think your point invalidates it.  Drug use is risky and discretionary.  To be blithe about the risk is unwise.

The ad campaign directly says that using drugs destroys your brain. That's not true. For some people some drugs are problematic, but this is more often tied to the social situation around them, rather than anything else. Plenty of perfectly mentally well adults use recreational drugs, in fact they almost certainly dramatically outnumber abusers.
