Thanks for the perspective.  I think it is good to remind ourselves that Shaw has won the Pac-12 three times, the Pac-12 North 4, never missed a bowl game, never had a losing record, and in fact never had fewer than 8 wins.

and never lost to Cal.

Yeah, I think it's freaking me out seeing other schools do well, and seeing the possibility of a 6-6 or lower season. There have years in which I looked at 6-6 believing It portended a winning season. I'm not sure that 6-6 will usher in a four- or -five win season, but it is a worry. We're four seasons from our last Rose Bowl, and we don't seem to have another in view.

Sagehen, I hope you're right—and Shaw does deserve a mulligan. A bowl win and extending the streak to 10 will make me happy.
