On the defensive side of the ball, while a more educated eye would be able to give a better evaluation, it's hard for me to separate things. Are teams running the ball better because of the defensive line or because of the linebackers? Is the middle of the field open for the passing game because of the linebackers or the safeties? There are lots of people on this board who have a good handle on what's going on on the defensive side of the ball, but I'm not one of them.
Safeties have been horribly out of position and/or missed tackles several times already this season. For Antoine it's a continuation of last season. I'd hoped for improvement after last season since it was his first after being a CB but sadly it's not any better. When we've had guys back there who were safeties in HS, we didn't have these issues.
