Harvard had a last minute drive to tie the game. Yale had three high school All-Americans (including Grant Hill) who played offense but usually didn't play defense. When asked why he didn't put them in to stop Harvard's last drive, the Yale coach said he didn't want the three guys who got replaced to remember their Yale football careers that way.
Different philosophy in the Ivy League, even back then.

Calvin Hill??

Yes.  I must have flubbed my post about that.  Calvin is Grant's father I believe.  Also, is Calvin Hill the only Ivy League player after 1960 to make it into the NFL Hall of Fame? 

Anyway,  JohnR+ vastly undersold how exciting and unusual the end of that game was.  I recommend the film to anyone who is mildly interested in football.  Should be available for free online somewhere.
