In Mark Soltau's Sunday column, he noted that Stanford used 9 true frosh on kickoff coverage vs. WSU. Perhaps a reason that WSU was able to get an 86 yard return to kill Stanford's momentum after they pulled within 3.

Probably true, but it also didn't help that Sanborn's kicks weren't going through the end zone like they had been doing in recent games.  It was probably due to his injury that he couldn't make nearly every kickoff un-returnable. They said he was questionable right up until game day.
