Frosh Force. Sixteen true freshmen played against the Irish. Twelve of them have had their redshirts burned. Neither Stephen Herron nor Bradley Archer played, and could have and still retained their redshirts, perhaps to give other freshmen some PT. At some point in the many coming weeks and months of no Stanford football, I'll do some sort of post mortem on freshman appearances this season.
- ILB Levani Damuni made his season debut, likely on ST, and made a tackle. Congrats on the PT, Levani!
- ILB Aeneas DiCosmo played in his fourth game on ST. He retained his redshirt.
- WR Elijah Higgins played on ST and on O as a blocking WR. He played in in all twelve games this year, but did not have a ball thrown to him. He must be a helluva blocker to get that much PT as a receiver and not be a, you know, receiver.
- G Jake Hornibrook started at RG for the sixth time, playing in his seventh game of the season.
- RB Austin Jones carried the ball seven times for 23 yards, had one reception for 24 yards, and returned four kicks for 60 yards. He played in all twelve games this season.
- S Brock Jones, a former walk-on, played in his tenth game on ST, and recorded a tackle.
- S Spencer Jorgensen, a walk-on, played in his tenth game on ST, and did not record a tackle.
- CB Kyu Blu Kelly started at CB for the ninth week, and had two tackles. He has played in all twelve games this season.
- CB Zahran Manley played in his eighth game of the season on ST and on D. He did not record a statistic.
- S Jonathan McGill played on defense as the starting NB for the ninth week. He had one tackle. He's played in all twelve games this season.
- G Barrett Miller played in his eleventh game of the season, starting at LG for the eighth time.
- C Drake Nugent played in his second game of the year, in a heavy package and then at LG when Rouse was injured (Miller went to LT).
- RB Nathaniel Peat rushed the ball once for six yards, and returned two kicks for 48 yards. He played in his twelfth game of the season.
- T Walter Rouse started at LT for the eleventh time. He has played in all twelve games this season.
- P Ryan Sanborn, a former walk-on, punted seven times for a 40.4 yard average; three of Sanborn's punts landed inside the opponent's 20 yard line, and one went for 60 yards. He also had a 24-yard FG (and no misses) and handled four kickoffs, but no touchbacks. He's played in all twelve games.
- ILB Tristan Sinclair, played in his fourth game, probably on both ST and D. He did not record a tackle, but does retain his redshirt.
