Tell you what.  I'll take Stanford product Austin Slater to start in favor of Pillar.  Better OPS, Better OBP, more walks, fewer strikeouts and was having a killer season until September.  In the field, he's a MUCH better fielder, as evidenced by Slater's #1-in-NL Total Zone Runs rating (+8, best in NL) and Slater has played in six different positions in the field in the last two years.
