I have always believed that the Pac-12 was a bit embarrassed by the Stanford Pac-12 CG. They likely understood an empty neutral venue stadium had some excuses, an empty on campus stadium just reinforced negative perceptions the conference could literally not afford. So a bit ironic for Stanford fans to complain about the move to a neutral venue. If the first several Pac-12 CGs were held at some combination of Oregon, USC, UW and ASU then maybe the game would still be at home venues. I guess for current Coach Shaw haters he can get the blame here too.
Nah. They'll just observe that, going forward, the site of CCG will never be a concern for Stanford with Coach Shaw at the helm.
BTW, agree that Vegas addresses a lot of issues. In fact, am trying to figure out way to get there for hoops CCG stuff.
Agree on all counts. And totally forgot about hoops being there. That might actually be fun this year!
