[2006alum]

Movie was better than the reviews made it out to be.

Enjoyed the first two thirds and thought it unravelled poorly to finish things out. A few times towards the end I laughed out loud when I know that wasn't the screenwriters'/director's intention. I'd say each of episodes VII through IX was slightly worse than the last, with the middle one being the only one to add anything original to the six that came before. Unfortunately they spent most of this movie undoing that one in ways that "restored order to the [Star Wars Canon]" but felt like a cheap, uninteresting way out.
