I'm partial to Folkl, because of her unbelievable freakish athleticism, as witnessed by the fact that she was an all American basketball player as well, and because she was one of the nicest, most humble, and most personable people I met at Stanford (we lived in the same dorm my senior year).

Plummer would almost certainly have been an all American this year had she qualified, and the Player of the Year if she hadn't been injured.  She really is likely the best outside hitter in a long line of superb outside hitters at Stanford.

Next year will be a substantial drop-off, but we do bring back McClure, Campbell, and Kipp, which is a solid nucleus.

I have long believed Folkl to be the best all around Stanford athlete I've ever seen compete (and if she is not tops, she is right up there).  Incredible talent, and a difference maker on both VB and BB courts - and that's true whether you rank her 1, or 3, or 5, or 10.  But honestly, think it's hard to put 9 others in front of her.
