That does require a bit of prior planning though. If by some accident you have fulfilled the requirements to graduate, are you allowed to not do so?
Interesting question. Since graduation requires an affirmative action by the student (that is, the student/athlete needs to file for graduation) I wonder whether someone who has fulfilled all the requirements but hasn't filed for graduation would actually graduate? You could envision a scenario where someone wants to take a couple extra classes that don't lead to a degree.
