Wilcox now has a DC who was a former Head Coach and an OC with a far more impressive resume than anyone on Stanford's offensive coaching staff. 

David Shaw has shown no ability to hire coaches more accomplished than him as either DC or OC. It's a sign of weakness, IMO.  Great managers hire people who are more talented than them. There are Head Coaches fired all the time who have better resumes than Pritchard and Anderson. Why isn't Shaw adding the best coaching talent available to his coaching staff? Is he really more concerned with his own comfort than winning games, as I fear is the case?

Wilcox's DC came in as the DC at Air Force when my son was there. He did an excellent job of changing the defense from lousy to very good.
Always been impressed with the staff Wilcox assembles.
